I am Julián Martínez.

Don Swaynos has been working in film and television for over twenty years. 

 

As an editor, he has cut a wide variety of projects including narrative films, documentaries, reality shows, commercials, and branded content.

 

He recently edited the documentary features Luv Ya, Bum! (SXSW Documentary Spotlight Audience Award) and Chop & Steele (Tribeca, Fantastic Fest). He has  cut award-winning narrative films that have screened at Sundance, SXSW, Berlinale, and Fantastic Fest. For television, he edited CNN’s critically-acclaimed, Emmy-nominated docuseries High Profits, as well as reality shows for A&E, TLC, and The Discovery Channel.

Don's commercial editorial work includes spots for for clients such as Dodge,Yeti, Indeed, and Dell.


As a writer/director Don helmed the award-winning satirical horror-comedies Roger is a Serial Killer and Don’t Ever Change (Vimeo Staff Pick, Short of the Week). Don has won Addy and Pollie Awards for his screenwriting work on branded content and political advertising. He has also written about film, with published articles on filmmakers Robert Downey and Herschell Gordon Lewis.

 

Additionally, Don produced the meta-documentary about a documentary Beaver Trilogy Part IV,  the comedy doc Chop & Steele,  and the experimental thriller Discreet.

Don is currently in production on the "possibly fictional true crime documentary" Professional Texan (a recipient of the AFS Development Fund Grant).
